Kowloon Bridge

Description:

Great dive on the biggest wreck in the world (by tonnage)160000 tons and 294m length!

Notes:

Kowloon Bridge ran agound 22 Nov 1986 during a storm. Fully laden with iron ore and fuel oil on a voyage from Canada to The Clyde, she lost steerage and went aground before sinking in 36m. There are continuing efforts to salvage the wreck and cargo. This wreck is so big it can be difficult to appreciate the size but get on the seabed by the bow bulb and look up!
